
Rather than Flowers Popcorn

This popcorn recipe can be made with butter for a more decadent option, but we love it with just a dusting of Rather than Flowers. The subtle combination of a woodsy mushroom flavour complimented with hints of thyme and sage are kinda perfect for a light snack.

Serves 4 people
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup (80 ml) of oil (either vegetable or avocado oil)
3/4 cup (175 ml) uncooked popcorn kernels
2 tsp (8-10 ml) Rather than Flowers blend
1/2 tsp salt (2.5 ml)
DIRECTIONS
- On the stovetop, using a 4-quart pot (with a lid) heat the oil to a medium high heat.
- Add popcorn and cover with the lid. Once the popping starts to slowdown, remove the pot from the heat. Leave covered, wait for 2-3 minutes to allow the final pops, then empty into a large bowl.
Sprinkle the popped corn with Rather than Flowers and salt, alternating and tossing the popcorn.
OPTION (with melted butter)
Mix Rather than Flowers with ¼ Cup of butter and drizzle on popcorn. Add salt.
